Jul 02, 2008 Is anyone using a smart card reader with their mac pro? USB devices like that work because the drives are already bundled with the OS. USB ATAPI devices, thumb drives, etc. If it'll work with the MB, it will work with a MP. BTW, i did need a windows box to update the firmware on the card reader, but it was very simple. Aug 29, 2010 I have a scr33 series reader and os x 10.6.4. When i click on more info my mac recognizes the reader but when i open up keychains it does not recognize the card therefore i cannot mess with the keychains.
